The Blakenall police team have been made aware of report/s of criminal damage caused by a BB Gun/s in the Beeches Rd area of Bloxwich (29/06/26), we ask that should anyone have any information regarding this matter to contact 101 quoting Crime Investigation 20/304084/26.

Air weapon offences

It is an offence to:

endanger human life

damage or destroy someone's property

fire a pellet beyond the boundaries of the property you're shooting on

injure, interrupt or endanger a road user by firing a pellet within 50 feet / 15 metres of the centre of a public road

kill certain wild animals and birds

kill or injure a pet, or knowingly cause a pet animal to suffer

buy or hire an air weapon if you're under 18

give or sell an air weapon or ammunition to someone under 18

store an air weapon in a way someone under 18 could access it

use an air weapon if you are prohibited from having firearms

Patrols will be conducted at the location, and appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for any anti-social behaviour and all criminal offences will be dealt with accordingly. Luckily on this occasion no person/s were hurt- but we ask that this misuse of bb gun is not repeated to avoid any person/s being injured.

Walsall Council and the relevant landlord/housing associations have been informed, and the police will seek to act in partnership to tackle these issues.
